  17.      _j_p_e_g_2_s_t_i_f_f converts Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG) image files
  18.      into Stream TIFF (STIFF) format.

  20.      _j_p_e_g_2_s_t_i_f_f expects at least one JPEG image file to be specified on the
  21.      command line after all option switches. By default, _j_p_e_g_2_s_t_i_f_f assumes
  22.      that its output should be written to the standard output and messages
  23.      should be written to standard error.

  25.      The input image file(s) must be in the JPEG File Interchange Format
  26.      (JFIF).

  28.      ----OOOO _f_i_l_e_n_a_m_e
  29.                Specifies the name of the file to which the STIFF output will
  30.                be sent.  If the ----OOOO option is not specified, output will be
  31.                sent to the standard output.

  34.                Specifies the name of the file to which error, warning and
  35.                informational messages are to be written. If the file specified
  36.                already exists, any messages generated by _j_p_e_g_2_s_t_i_f_f will be
  37.                appended to the end of the file.  If the ----LLLL option is not
  38.                specified, message output will be sent to standard error.

  40.      ----hhhh        Prints a program usage message to the standard error. This
  41.                usage message also lists the currently supported output
  42.                configurations.

  44.      ----DDDD        Specifies verbose output for debugging purposes.

  47.      1.   Currently, _j_p_e_g_2_s_t_i_f_f accepts JPEG image data only in the JFIF file
  48.           format. The TIFF 6.0 JPEG format is not currently supported.

  50.      2.   _j_p_e_g_2_s_t_i_f_f can decompress baseline and extended sequential JPEG
  51.           compression methods. Progressive, hierarchical and lossless JPEG
  52.           methods are not currently supported.

  54.      3.   _j_p_e_g_2_s_t_i_f_f accepts grayscale and RGB JPEG image colorspaces. A
  55.           grayscale image will produce a W STIFF image (SSSSTTTT____TTTTYYYYPPPPEEEE____WWWW) and an RGB
